Good was our first full length record and the first time with more than just a few hours to spend in a recording studio - not much more, but more than we had ever been given.   Our friends in Farside had just finished their record at For The Record Studio in Orange and gave us a great recommendation. This is where we met Eric Garten (who is simply
known as "E") for the first time. He was the first "producer figure" that we'd ever worked with and was genuinely excited about what we were doing. That was new and comforting to us since we had always been clueless and retarded when it came to recording. We had a three day lock out to get the whole thing done and spent each night working until the
sun came up the next day.  For our first real studio experience we learned a lot, especially the relationship between your better judgement and the amount of sleep you haven't had.

A lot of great songs came out on this record. Songs that became Gameface "classics". It was the first release that yielded any sort of national exposure and ultimately led us to the next chapter of our band when Bill from Dr. Strange Records contacted us about signing with his label.  The Doc says that Good is still one of his all time favorites.  He eventually re-released it; remixed with new artwork on Dr. Strange.

"...Funny how re-issues can sometimes make you realize just how good a
band were all those years ago...such is the case with the re-release
(and remixed version) of Gameface's "Good" album from way back in 1993,
because playing this now makes you realize that 6 years ago Gameface
were infinitely better than all of the bands that are still trying to
imitate them in 1999..." - Fracture Magazine (U.K.)
